Here’s another slang gem for you to add to your repertoire: prit’neer. You can use it, and often, if you are A) male and B) liberally uneducated. It also helps if you live a decent distance away from a major urban centre.
Prit’neer is a sharp contraction meaning “pretty near.” Here’s some usage:
That dog prit’neer tore mah leg off!
or
We’re prit’neer finished the roofin’, then we’ll move on to the ‘lectrical.
Remember to pronounce both the “prit” and the “neer” separately and tersely, as they are most often the focus of the utterance in which they are featured, and are a good wholesome replacement for the F.
